The main block of the Polk house comprises a hall and two parlors on the first floor and three bedrooms on the second floor. The museum features over a thousand artifacts, including the first photograph taken inside the White House.
Visitors can also take a guided tour of the Polk home, which will last about thirty minutes. You’ll be treated to some of the original furnishings of President and Mrs. Polk, as well as a brief history of the home.
