Visitors can take a trip through the Ice Age, with various artifacts on display, including ancient bison, saber tooth cats, and a giant ground sloth. Also on display is the Snake River Plains, which showcases the area’s natural history.

Idaho Falls Idaho Temple
The Idaho Falls Idaho Temple is a magnificent Art Deco structure built by the LDS Church in the early part of the twentieth century. It is situated on the scenic banks of the Snake River. This temple is one of the most recognizable structures in Idaho Falls.
The Idaho Falls Idaho Temple has undergone several renovations over the years. These renovations included the installation of new electrical systems and mechanical equipment. Additionally, a complete landscaping renovation was conducted in 2011 to have a waterfall feature on the temple’s east side.
In addition, a large screen was installed at the east end of the arena to magnify the action on the floor. One of the unique features of the temple is its spire, which rises 125 feet.
The first of its kind, the Idaho Falls Idaho Temple was the first to have a central spire. The spire was constructed using Mo-Sai, a new method for precast concrete exposed aggregates.
Another awe-inspiring feature of the Idaho Falls Idaho Temple is the hand-painted murals. Leading LDS artists painted these murals in the 1940s. They depict the Garden of Eden, the world, and the process of eternal progression.
